Volume 28

On June 24, PechaKucha Night Cleveland took over the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for Volume 28! Lions and tigers and bears--oh my--- plus an awesome roster of fantastic presentations.

The presenter list was unbelievable....Jason Radcliffe, an amazing furniture maker and reality TV finalists who was one of three finalists on Spike TV's furniture competition show 'Framework'; Erin Guido, local artist lit up the room with her passion for her work and Cleveland; Christopher Kuhar, the Executive Director of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo spoke about behavior change; Cathie Bleck, internationally renowned artist spoke about how she approaches her work (and gave away 50 screen printed copies of the poster she did for PKN-Vol 28; Mike Murray, Assistant Curator of Animals spoke about the wonderful world of animal training and enrichment; Christina Vassallo, Executive Director of SPACES sharedher obsessions on the importance of the alternative arts and lifestyle choices like biking through the winter in Cleveland; Jessica Walters shared a little about her work with Junior Achievement; Karen Katz, artist and Exhibit Designer for the Cleveland Children's Museum shared her work and her passion for PLAY; Vicki Searles, Director of Conservation Education, spoke about the importance and impact of science education and Jeremy Umanski, local Gastronaut, forager and perhaps one of Cleveland's most creative Chefs, shared his obsession for his craft.
